Users must not knowingly submit false, misleading, altered, fabricated, or fraudulent information.

Docversity University may refuse, suspend, or investigate verification requests where submitted information appears inaccurate, suspicious, incomplete, or potentially fraudulent.

4. Verification Results

A verification result reflects the information available within the University’s relevant records and verification systems at the time the verification is performed.

Results may include statuses such as:

Verified

The submitted information corresponds with an applicable official University record.

Not Verified

The submitted information could not be confirmed against the records available to the University.

Additional Verification Required

Further information, documentation, or manual review may be necessary before a final determination can be made.

Invalid / Not Found

The information provided does not correspond with an available verification record.

A verification result should be interpreted only in the context of the information and purpose for which the verification was conducted.

5. No Guarantee of External Recognition

Verification of the authenticity of a credential does not automatically constitute confirmation of its acceptance, equivalency, professional licensing, immigration eligibility, employment eligibility, or recognition by every third party or jurisdiction.

The receiving organization or authority is responsible for determining whether a verified credential satisfies its own requirements.

Examples may include:

  • Government recognition

  • Professional licensing

  • Employment requirements

  • Immigration requirements

  • Admission to another educational institution

  • Credential equivalency

  • Professional registration

Users should consult the relevant authority where such determinations are required.

6. Verification Does Not Replace Official Academic Documentation

A Portal verification result is intended to support credential authentication and should not automatically be treated as a substitute for an official certificate, transcript, academic record, or other document where the receiving organization requires the original or officially issued document.

The University may require direct document submission, institutional correspondence, certified copies, or additional verification procedures in certain circumstances.

7. Credential Holder Authorization

Where required by applicable policy or law, a credential holder may be required to authorize the release or verification of additional academic information.

Users must not attempt to obtain restricted academic information without appropriate authorization or lawful authority.

Docversity University may limit the information disclosed through the Portal according to privacy, institutional, legal, and security requirements.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

  • Use the Portal for fraudulent or unlawful purposes

  • Scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically collect information

  • Use automated tools or bots without written authorization

  • Misrepresent a verification result

  • Modify, reproduce, manipulate, or forge a Portal verification result

  • Use verification information for harassment, discrimination, fraud, or other unlawful purposes

Any suspected fraudulent or malicious activity may be investigated and may be reported to the appropriate institutional or legal authorities where necessary.

Docversity University makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate credential information.

However, records may occasionally require:

  • Manual verification

  • Historical record review

  • Additional documentation

  • Correction of administrative information

  • Clarification of names or identification details

  • Review of legacy records

Differences in spelling, transliteration, dates, document formats, identification numbers, or historical records may require additional verification.

Users should not assume that a failed automated verification necessarily establishes that a document is fraudulent.

Where automated verification is unavailable or inconclusive, the University may undertake additional manual verification.

Manual verification may require:

  • Additional supporting documents

  • Credential-holder authorization

  • Official correspondence

  • Institutional communication

  • Additional identity information

  • Reasonable processing time

The University reserves the right to determine the appropriate verification procedure in each case.

16. Third-Party Reliance

Organizations and individuals relying on a verification result are responsible for conducting any additional checks they consider necessary.

A verification result should be considered one component of a broader credential-assessment process where additional requirements apply.

Docversity University does not assume responsibility for decisions made solely by third parties based on a Portal result without conducting any additional assessment required for their particular purpose.

17. External Websites and Services

The Portal may contain links to third-party websites, services, institutions, or external resources.

Such links are provided for convenience or informational purposes.

Docversity University does not necessarily control or endorse third-party websites and is not responsible for their:

Users should review the applicable terms and privacy policies before interacting with third-party services.

18. Fees

The Portal may provide free verification services or, where officially established, may introduce applicable verification or administrative fees.

Any applicable fee should be clearly communicated through an official University channel before payment is requested.

Users should not make payments to unofficial individuals, personal accounts, unauthorized agents, or unofficial websites claiming to provide Docversity verification services.

Any official payment requirement should be independently confirmed through the University’s authorized communication channels.
